Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect your personal data when you visit this site, book a call, or become a client.
Who we are
This website is operated by Trade Works Digital Ltd, trading as Tradeworks Digital, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17391710. Our registered office is at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
For any question about this policy or your data, contact us at adam@tradeworksdigital.co.uk. We are the data controller for the personal data described below.
What data we collect
We only collect what we need to respond to your enquiry, book a call, or deliver a website build. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
- Contact details you give us directly — name, email address, phone number, and business name — when you book a call, send an email, or fill in a form.
- Booking details when you schedule a call through our calendar tool — the date and time you select, and any notes you add.
- Project content you send us for your website build — service lists, business copy, photos, logos and reviews.
- Basic technical data such as browser type and approximate location, generated automatically by the fonts and booking widget embedded on this site (see "Third-party services" below). We do not run our own analytics or tracking scripts on this site.
How we use your data
We use your data only to:
- Respond to enquiries and arrange discovery calls;
- Provide a quote and deliver a website build you've agreed to pay for;
- Send you invoices and manage the ongoing care plan, if you take one out;
- Meet our own legal and accounting obligations.
The legal basis for this processing is either that it's necessary to perform a contract with you (or take steps towards one at your request), or our legitimate interest in running the business — for example, replying to a message you've sent us. Where neither applies, we'll ask for your consent.
Third-party services
We keep the number of third parties involved deliberately small. The ones this site does use are:
- Cal.com — powers the "Book a Call" scheduler embedded on this site. When you book a call, the details you enter are processed by Cal.com on our behalf so we can manage the booking. See Cal.com's privacy policy for details.
- Google Fonts — the typefaces on this site are loaded from Google's servers, which may log your IP address as part of serving the font files. See Google's privacy policy.
We don't sell your data to anyone, and we don't share it with third parties beyond what's needed to provide the services above.
Cookies
This site does not set its own cookies or run analytics software. The embedded Cal.com booking widget may set its own cookies to manage your scheduling session — these are set by Cal.com, not by us, and are covered by their privacy policy linked above.
How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry and booking details for as long as needed to respond to you, plus a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch. Client and invoicing records are kept for as long as UK tax law requires (currently at least 6 years). We delete or anonymise data we no longer have a reason to hold.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data;
- Ask us to delete your data, where we don't have a legal reason to keep it;
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing;
- Ask for your data in a portable format;
- Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis for processing.
To exercise any of these, email adam@tradeworksdigital.co.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we start using a new tool on the site. The version at the top of this page always reflects our current practice, and we'll update the "last updated" date whenever it changes.
